Welcome to English 1010 Wisdom of the Crowd

Description
In the University of Wyoming's Composition Program, the Wisdom of the Crowd (WOC) is a virtual project that will help you collaborate with your peers in any section of English 1010. For this project, English 1010 participants will create pages that explore ideas in the readings, will post links related to the readings, and will come up with their own understandings of how the ideas of the course fit together.
How to participate
From the comfort of your room anytime, day or night, all 1010 students and instructors will have access to reading the wiki, and anyone who wishes to contribute to the wiki can be added manually. Those requests should go through bseifert@uwyo.edu. If classes wish to use/add to the wiki as a group, instructors should have students e-mail their requests 24 hours in advance.
Netiquette
This wiki is meant for people to work out what key concepts in English 1010 mean, whether that is figuring out the difference between bridging and bonding social connections or sharing ideas and links to topics related to English 1010. People will have a wide range of opinions, and lively debate can be helpful. “Flaming”—a hostile or even hateful response—is not helpful. If you “flame” you may banned from the site. Any questions or concerns about this may be directed to Dr. Mary P. Sheridan-Rabideau (msherid1@uwyo.edu), Director of the Composition Program.
